Yes — we specialize in right-sizing and zoning for big, spread-out wooded properties, with ductwork and equipment engineered for even comfort across the whole home.

The thin air at 6,000+ feet contains less oxygen, which can cause furnaces to burn fuel inefficiently if not properly calibrated for high altitude. Cooling systems also have to work harder to move heat, so we adjust blower speeds and gas pressures to ensure your equipment lasts as long as possible in this environment.

Intense high-altitude sun and dry air can cause your outdoor condenser to work overtime, especially if it is clogged with dust or cottonwood seeds. If your system isn't cooling properly in neighborhoods like Briargate, it could be due to a refrigerant leak or an undersized unit that cannot keep up with the thin air’s low heat-carrying capacity.

In areas like Falcon or Peyton where wind and dust are common, we recommend checking your filters every 30 days. The dry Colorado air allows dust to travel easily, and a clogged filter will quickly restrict airflow, leading to frozen coils or an overheated furnace heat exchanger.

If your system is over 12-15 years old and requiring frequent repairs, a replacement is often more cost-effective, especially with modern high-efficiency units designed for our climate. We provide honest assessments for homeowners in Monument and Fountain to help you decide which option protects your home’s comfort and your budget.
